Lord Dragkane's Space Wolves

Hi guys, Jamie here.

Just to say a little bit about the main man in all of my lists really and that's the big honcho and general badass, Wolf Lord Dragkane. He's got a large array of kills including Daemon Princes, the bigger the better as they just fuel his want for glory and to rid the universe of those Daemon scum.

After all a heretic a day keeps the Daemons at bay, or so they say anyway.

Dragkane has his trusted Thunder Wolf Cavalry with him as an hunting pack after all if you are going to take something down you might as well have witnesses to give more credit.

Now you must be thinking whats so special about this guy, well I'm glad you were thinking this as Dragkane was selected my Logan Grimnar to wield the Krackenbone Sword which is a special relic amongst the space wolves. So on the odd occasion Logan Grimnar will come and visit Dragkane and they will embark on a quest to slay some enemies that have crossed into there air space.

Now Logan is always accompanied by his trusted bodyguard Arjac Rockfist and the terminator squads. although they are strong and sturdy they tend to let Dragkane storm the enemy and destroy there ranks while they charge up the battlefield to nail the final hammer in the coffin.

That's it for this post but next time I'm going to touch on how the space wolves managed to get there hands on a Imperial Knight.

Jericho Reach: First Encounters

The galaxy was surrounded by the Hive Fleet however those whom arrived by space travel found that the Fleet parted to allow slender corridors for travel into the Jericho galaxy. However the Tyranids did not so much as stir or attack the space craft.  Each army sent their favoured heroes and their chosen acolytes. On the mining planet of Rheelas the Howling Griffons led by Chaplain Titus within his great Dreadnought armour were the first to engage in battle with the Necrons led by Overlord Naile. However both commanders understood it would do no good to exterminate each other. They both strategically retreated to fight another day. If Khorne was watching he would be greatly angered by the lack of bloodshed. Overlord Naile was able to claim the relic weapon known as Void Reaper and within the mining facility found a Tomb World filled by his Laharl Dynasty brothers.  The Howling Griffons were then ambushed by the Thousand Sons led by the Daemon Prince known in Low Gothi...

Worcester Wargames 40K Doubles .

It's that time of year again! The Six Up Save lads are painting last mintue details and packing our carry cases in preparation for another one of Worcester Wargames awesome local Tournaments . This years contest comes with a twist; the doubles teams will be paired up at random! From what we are given to understand Andy (the TO) is pairing people up with respective armies (Imperium with Imperium, Orks with Orks etc) but we wont know exactly who our teammates are until the morning of the Tourney. The day will consist of 3 games, one person on each team will be playing Maelstrom objectives and his teammate will be playing for standard objectives on the same board, so it will be an interesting mix up of normal game rules. I'm taking my Redeemer's, but due to lack of time / laziness I'm just taking the exact same list as my Six Up Save League. It's hardley optimised for competitive gameplay, but its fun, fluffy and means I don't have to stress about painting any...

Tarsis 4, hosted by Geno52 and Incom Gaming

Today Sam went to Cheltenham to join in with 19 other people on a narrative 30k campaign day. This post will review the day, show off some of the armies that attended and detail how each game went for The Iron Warriors.  First of all I wish to say what a fantastic day that I had. I drove down with Ben Fletcher who was using his warp cult and allied knights and was prepared for a few games of heresy. What I got was three amazing games with friendly and fun opponents. To top this off there was a fluffy element to the whole event running throughout. With people bringing lists which showed off their legions strengths and not following the standard net list builds that you sometimes see in a 40k event. The event was well thought out and well ran by Tom and Stu. Loyalists vs traitors and a winning team, not individual. Which brought about a sense of comradery. Here is the list that I took. I made a 2000 and 2500 point list and used the latter twice and the former once.   Game one Fo...
