Jericho Reach: First Encounters

The galaxy was surrounded by the Hive Fleet however those whom arrived by space travel found that the Fleet parted to allow slender corridors for travel into the Jericho galaxy. However the Tyranids did not so much as stir or attack the space craft.

Each army sent their favoured heroes and their chosen acolytes. On the mining planet of Rheelas the Howling Griffons led by Chaplain Titus within his great Dreadnought armour were the first to engage in battle with the Necrons led by Overlord Naile. However both commanders understood it would do no good to exterminate each other. They both strategically retreated to fight another day. If Khorne was watching he would be greatly angered by the lack of bloodshed. Overlord Naile was able to claim the relic weapon known as Void Reaper and within the mining facility found a Tomb World filled by his Laharl Dynasty brothers.

The Howling Griffons were then ambushed by the Thousand Sons led by the Daemon Prince known in Low Gothic as Pink Floyd. He brought from the Warp with him a great horde of Tzaangors but the bolt rifles of the Intercessors, sniper rifles of the Scouts and the assault cannon of Titus were too much to handle. The Thousand Sons retreated back into the warp and reemerged on the planet of Spite to engage the Space Wolves led by a newly assigned Primaris Captain in Gravis Armour but once again the Space Marines proved too much for Pink Floyd's horde of Tzaangors. Once again they retreated to the warp but maybe this was all part of Tzeentch's great plan....

On the agriworld of Kaggerah, the Dark Angels led by the Librarian Turmiel, following the possible sighting of a Fallen and even possibly Cypher himself, ran into the great horde of Badrukk's hired Ork Boyz and Grotz. These vast numbers were too much for the elite force of Scouts and Tactical Marines and Turmeil's own force sword was broken in two by the Boss Nob's power klaw so they made a retreat. Unfortunately this agriworld was already inhabited by the Daemons of Nurgle and the Dark Angels had unwittingly run straight into one of their prized gardens. Luckily the Dark Angels were able to hold off the hordes of Plaguebearers and the Daemon Prince Ignatius Grulgor, but won without losing one of their Scouts to the zombie infection. The Dark Angels teleported back to their ship.

Badrukk continued his search for teef and encountered the Flesh Tearers led by the Chaplain Appollus on the planet of Alphos. The Flesh Tearer's Tactical Marines led by Sergeant Noxx and Sergeant Zarrael let loose with bolter, melta, plasma and flame but it was still not enough to quench the flood of Orks.

The Adeptus Custodes heard a warning signal from the Dark Angels and decided to purge the Daemons from the planet of Kaggerah. They entered the blessed garden and purged every Plaguebearer, Nurgling, and a vast quantity of Sloppity Bilepipers. But Ignatius Grulgor retreated back into the warp and vowed to replant his garden on Kaggerah.

Meanwhile, the Flesh Tearers landed on the planet of Rheelas to find the Necron Overlord trying to reawaken the Tomb World he had discovered. While the Flesh Tearers have a wealth of experience dealing with Necrons, the power provided by a reawakened Tomb World was too much for the Flesh Tearers to bare. They once again retreated to their spacecraft.

The Adeptus Custodes after leaving the destroyed garden of Nurgle embarked to the Hive World of Argoth. The world was abandoned but they believed it would be the best place to set up for the investigation of the galaxy. However without warning and a blur of lights, the Emperor's elite guard were attacked from the shadows by the Harlequins. The Halequin's dance of death caused much confusion among the Custodes. The Shield Captain and Shadowseer engaged into solo combat and the elite captain even lost his Misencordia Knife to the Shadowseer. So impressed and beguiled by the Harlequin's combat style he allowed them to teleport away.

The next targets for the Harlequins tricks and games were the Space Wolves whom were feeling smug after their victory over the Thousand Sons but the Harlequins extreme reflexes and flip belt technology were too much for the Space Wolves to handle.

After the first engagements, some armies had found a planet to call their own and start their investigation into the Deathwatch's message but others were still struggling to find a foothold.

Confessions of a Warhammer Wife

Confessions of a Warhammer Wife Bruce’s obsession with Warhammer was only revealed to me during our second year of dating. We had been together a long time by then – had even lived together for the majority of that time while at University. And still I didn’t know about this one aspect of Bruce’s nerd-dom. When Bruce and I first began dating I was fully aware of – even besotted by - his nerdy credentials. Together we had played hours of Halo 3 and Mario Kart, swapped manga and even visited the cinema for a solo late night screening of Star Trek. Yet this did not prepare me for what would become one of his main loves in life. It all started back in 2012. We had been living separately back at our parents’ homes after University – me in Yorkshire, he in Worcester. I would often travel down to visit him and on one such occasion I was told of a new friend Bruce had made through work. Damien. They had apparently bonded when Bruce had taken on old model – a Tyranid Warrior I beli

August Apocalypse

Hi All, Its Martin. Our very own Sam, with the help of Matt and Andy from Worcester Wargames put together an Apocalypse game that saw the mighty Imperial armies battling against every Xeno army going (I played my Eldar on the Xeno's team). To allow this to happen, all Xeno's were made allies of convenience to prevent us turning on each other! From Six Up save other than myself, we had Jamie 1 and 2, Bruce, Sam, Dae, and Matt playing in the event. The tournament was a 1 day main event with a sub mission played the night before. Each team had a 'Warlord', Dae for the Xeno's and SUS's newest member Jamie2 for the Imperium. It was their task to coordinate their respective teams towards their targets and agendas. I would say both did an awesome job at keeping their teams in order and directing troops to where they were needed. Each player had 2000 points to spend on their chosen armies but they could only have 1 LOW / Gargantuan per list and within t

Black Maru's Order of Redemption.

Hey guys, Bruce here with the first of (what I hope to be) many short snippets of background, history and goofy fluff pieces for my Blood Angel successor Chapter, "The Redeemers" aka "Black Maru's Order of Redemption". I'll start off by highlighting some of the key characters, mostly HQ's that play a big part both on the tabletop and in the ongoing story linking my games / campaigns together.  The Redeemers are a successor Chapter of the Blood Angels, although they are a chapter in a very loose sense. Due to the way Black Maru (who we will discuss in further detail shortly) chooses to organize the Marines under his commend, The Redeemers are only considered a chapter for the sake of record keeping at the Adaptus Administratum. Internally referred to as an Order rather than a Chapter, The Redeemers are almost unheard of, partly due to the secrecy of their mission, but primarily because they have never done anything especially noteworthy or noble.  The
