Jamie #1's Imperial knights of Fenris!

Greetings Brothers of War, Jamie here with a little project that i'm working on with Sam's help. I am in the process of constructing 5 Imperial Knights. That's right 5 of the beauts! I plan to have a mix of loadouts to both look great on the shelf and be powerhouses on the tabletop. Fortunatly I had built a Kinght before, so I already had a good idea how to put them together. I have (with assistance from Sam) managed to magnetize the knights in several places allowing for a wide variety of weapons to be used. The megnets are joining the mid section, shoulders, elbows, the thermal and battle cannon turrets for easy swapping, and the carapace weapon on top. The clips that normally hold the shoulders on have been cut away to allow a flat surface for the magnet. On the joint I placed a penny to create that flat surface for the magnet. This was fiddly as we needed to make sure that each shoulder magnet was able to attach to all the shoulders for all models. We had to ens...

Doubles Tourny

Sam here with quick game analysis from the tourny yesterday. The day was hosted by Andy and Mike (Worcester Wargames and Code 40K) and consisted of three games throughout the day. After submitting lists, we were paired with people who had a similar faction to us. 8 of the Six Up guys were there and we all had a great time. My first game was against two people who had not been playing an awful lot of 7th edition and ran Guard and Space Marines. My Predators plasma made short work of the Marine players Terminators and the combined efforts of myself and Ben's Chaos Rhinos full of men cut through the Guard. The game ended fairly close due to an unlikely set of saving throws against the marine holding the relic. Hate storm shields! Haha! Nevertheless, a win is a win and they were fun to play against. Game two was by far the most fun against Tau that I have ever had, and the most successful. My Fire Raptor tore through crisis teams but we could not do more than dent the three...

Worcester Wargames 40K Doubles .

It's that time of year again! The Six Up Save lads are painting last mintue details and packing our carry cases in preparation for another one of Worcester Wargames awesome local Tournaments . This years contest comes with a twist; the doubles teams will be paired up at random! From what we are given to understand Andy (the TO) is pairing people up with respective armies (Imperium with Imperium, Orks with Orks etc) but we wont know exactly who our teammates are until the morning of the Tourney. The day will consist of 3 games, one person on each team will be playing Maelstrom objectives and his teammate will be playing for standard objectives on the same board, so it will be an interesting mix up of normal game rules. I'm taking my Redeemer's, but due to lack of time / laziness I'm just taking the exact same list as my Six Up Save League. It's hardley optimised for competitive gameplay, but its fun, fluffy and means I don't have to stress about painting any...

Lord Dragkane's Space Wolves

Hi guys, Jamie here. Just to say a little bit about the main man in all of my lists really and that's the big honcho and general badass, Wolf Lord Dragkane. He's got a large array of kills including Daemon Princes, the bigger the better as they just fuel his want for glory and to rid the universe of those Daemon scum. After all a heretic a day keeps the Daemons at bay, or so they say anyway. Dragkane has his trusted Thunder Wolf Cavalry with him as an hunting pack after all if you are going to take something down you might as well have witnesses to give more credit. Now you must be thinking whats so special about this guy, well I'm glad you were thinking this as Dragkane was selected my Logan Grimnar to wield the Krackenbone Sword which is a special relic amongst the space wolves. So on the odd occasion Logan Grimnar will come and visit Dragkane and they will embark on a quest to slay some enemies that have crossed into there air space. Now Logan is always a...
