Six Up Save visits Bristol Vanguard Vanquish 2016

As some of you may have seen on our Facebook page recently, 7 out of 10 members of Six Up Save plus our good friend, Jack Whitefoot, made the trip down to Bristol for Vanquish 2016. Sam's Chaos versus Eldar 5 of us plus Jack were there for both days, while Cat and Matt joined us on the Sunday. Bruce ran Necrons, Sam ran Chaos, Charles (Beast) ran Farsight Enclave, Cat ran Eldar, Matt ran Dark Eldar and finally Damien, Paul and Jack ran Orks. Bruce's Necrons during Game 2 We had mixed results with Sam finishing in a respectable 15th place, Paul won Most Sporting and in a rare change of pace, Cat got the Wooden Spoon instead of our regular Spoon Winner, Paul. Paul's award for Most Sporting Overall we had a great weekend, playing some fantastic games against like-minded people and fantastically painted armies. (Felt quite embarrassed some of my army were only single colours) This was my first tournament away from Worcester and the games I played have made me...

First tourny table created

Sam here with an update on what Damien, Bruce and I have been up to recently. As we begin to host some tournaments in Worcestershire, a few of us decided that we wanted to make some of our own terrain. We have made enough for two boards and therefore the first Six Up Save terrain has been finished. Back in January last year, myself and Matt bought a lava gaming mat from Deep Cut Studios but have had no terrain to place on it. Adding to the fact that this board is going to live in Damien's gaming room we thought a Khornate / Daemonic / lava board would be perfect. Those attending Back To Basics and any of our other events will possibly play on this table. We have built enough to do this and another similar board. So far we have built: 4 lava filled craters 4 empty craters (not on above board) 3 smaller 6" high volcanoes 1 large double chimney volcano. 9" high 1 large archway (not on above board) 12 rocks 3 towers of rubble for models t...

Eldar vs Tzeentch 2000 points match

Hi All, Martin here. Sam recently asked me for a 2000 point game so he could try out his Tzeentch army to get a feel for what units he might put together to make a competative list. Normally I would just run, in true Saim Hann style, Jetbikes, Jetbikes and a few Jetbikes on the side but Sam asked if I could bring all my 'Big Guns' so he could really see hopw his army performed. I took: Craftworld Warhost Windrider Host consisting of a Skyrunner Farseer, A skyrunner Warlock, A vyper with 2 Shuriken Cannons and 3 squads of 3 Windriders, all upgraded with Shuriken Cannons. A Nightspinner A Fire Prism A Wraithknight with 2 Heavy Wraithcannons Aspect Host consiting of 4 Dark Reapers, 5 Fire Dragons and 5 Warp Spiders Combined Arms Detachment HQ - Warlock Troops - 3 sqauds of 5 Dire Avengers (Dire Avenger Shrine formation) Elites - 5 Wraithgaurd Fast Attack - Crimson Hunter Heavy Support - Vaul's Wrath Support Battery with a D-Cannon     We dep...
