The Story of Shas'O Vior'la Shovah Kais Mont'yr Better Know As Commander Farsight

Welcome to The Story of Shas'O Vior'la Shovah Kais Mont'yr, better Know As Commander Farsight. I have been eager to run a narrative campaign chronicling the life and adventures of my favourite 40K character, Commander Farsight. So this blog post is intended as an intro into 7 games that will tell the tale of this extraordinary Tau warrior. 6 of these games will be based off the official 'fluff' from the Codex Supplement: Farsight Enclaves and the last game is more of a labour of love, which is only loosely based in the 'fluff'. This narrative campaign is intended to run over the next year as each game will take time to prep and play. But below I have detailed an outline of the campaign. I hope you enjoy each update as much as I will making them along with my fellow Six Up Save friends. Chapter 1 - The Arkunasha War O'Shovah's first true command saw him reinforce the Tau population of Arkunasha as they faced the greenskin menace for the fi...

Six Up Save visits Bristol Vanguard Vanquish 2016

As some of you may have seen on our Facebook page recently, 7 out of 10 members of Six Up Save plus our good friend, Jack Whitefoot, made the trip down to Bristol for Vanquish 2016. Sam's Chaos versus Eldar 5 of us plus Jack were there for both days, while Cat and Matt joined us on the Sunday. Bruce ran Necrons, Sam ran Chaos, Charles (Beast) ran Farsight Enclave, Cat ran Eldar, Matt ran Dark Eldar and finally Damien, Paul and Jack ran Orks. Bruce's Necrons during Game 2 We had mixed results with Sam finishing in a respectable 15th place, Paul won Most Sporting and in a rare change of pace, Cat got the Wooden Spoon instead of our regular Spoon Winner, Paul. Paul's award for Most Sporting Overall we had a great weekend, playing some fantastic games against like-minded people and fantastically painted armies. (Felt quite embarrassed some of my army were only single colours) This was my first tournament away from Worcester and the games I played have made me...

Act of Redemption #1: Moonbase Rescue

Hey guys! Bruce here. Welcome to the first of (I hope) a serise of several short campaigns featuring everyones favorite semi-loyal Librarian, Black Maru! If you've been keeping up to date with the fluff of my homebrew Blood Angel Successors "The Redeemers" you'll know that Maru has been forced to work off a debt he owes to High Preist Brother Corbulo by performing a serise of tasks and earn forgivness in the eyes of his Blood Angel brethren. These Acts of Redemption will take the form of a serise of small short stories wrapped around some smaller narrative games. Well, thats the plan anyway, lets see how it works out. :)  ----------------------------------------- Black Maru has taken great pains to conceal the whereabouts of his mighty fortress “The Domain” from the records of the Imperial Scribes. Officially the ‘Chapter’ of the Redeemers is located on Baal, but in reality the shady Order of Redemption operates on a small, terraformed asteroid, hidden a...
