Tarsis 4, hosted by Geno52 and Incom Gaming

Today Sam went to Cheltenham to join in with 19 other people on a narrative 30k campaign day. This post will review the day, show off some of the armies that attended and detail how each game went for The Iron Warriors.  First of all I wish to say what a fantastic day that I had. I drove down with Ben Fletcher who was using his warp cult and allied knights and was prepared for a few games of heresy. What I got was three amazing games with friendly and fun opponents. To top this off there was a fluffy element to the whole event running throughout. With people bringing lists which showed off their legions strengths and not following the standard net list builds that you sometimes see in a 40k event. The event was well thought out and well ran by Tom and Stu. Loyalists vs traitors and a winning team, not individual. Which brought about a sense of comradery. Here is the list that I took. I made a 2000 and 2500 point list and used the latter twice and the former once.   Game one Fo...

Led kits and knights

Sam here with a small write up to review a product I have got recently which I think is just plain awesome. I am starting an imperial Knight army at the moment and wanted to somethig to make them pop a little more (they will be bright yellow so needed something rather extravegant) so I had seen some pictures online of people who had added LED's to their knights and was hooked. I searched the internet for some sources and found that it did not easily yield any obvious choices. A lot of expensive kits appeared for remote control cars and model train kits but I wanted something with one battery, switch and two led's without the hasstle of soldering myself. Then I came accross this website  http://www.smallscalelights.co.uk Easy to navigate Low cost Range of products Fantastic customer service! I had emails with instructions arrive upon payment as well as shilling information. All in all it cost me around £10 for the kit including the battery I had to buy seperate. Using the kit Th...

The board The game will be played on a 3-3 shipyard board with terrain from TTCombat on the dining room table for now. I need to get hold of a 3-3 mat so that Marvel games are easier in the future.   The teams Xmen vs Xmen.  Girls (and pool) vs boys (minus wolverine) Cat's crew consists of  Jean Grey, Emma Frost, Rogue and Deadpool   My crew consists of Magneto, Cyclops, Collosus and Gambit   The mission We are playing the mission that can be found in the XMen starter set. One team in the centre and another around the outside. The table left plenty of room for deployment. Deployment I started in the middle and Cat with a much more mobi...

Death korps of Krieg

Hello everyone, Sam here, it has been a while since I have posted on here and wanted to share what I have been working on. My first loyalist (shudder) army. Also my first guard army.  Over the past 10 months or so I have been slowly building and painting a Death Korps of Krieg army using the seige of Vraaks book. I have been attempting a unit a week but like we all do my attention and attitude towards painting blows hot and cold. I was origionally drawn to Krieg due to their post apocalyptic / menacing appearance and thought that they would be perfect for a renegades army. However the more that I read and planned the army, the more interested in the Krieg themselves that I became. This lead me to my first order of death riders and the other more krieg units. This is not to say that i wont experiment with renegades as i have found some wicked looking zombie krieg models that I may incorperate in the future. I expect this army to play in a totally different style to those I currently...
